EXPERIENCE

Program Manager, POC Entrepreneurial Bootcamp
Washington, DC June 2018 – Current

A project of Global Eye Entrepreneurs and The Melanin Collective, the POC Entrepreneurial Bootcamp is a leadership development experience for entrepreneurs of color. As program manager,  I provide programmatic and logistical support, along with onsite management of the bootcamp taking place August 18th, 2018.

Facilitator, Past Leadership Team Member, Femex DC (volunteer role)
Washington, DC — February 2012 – Current

Femex is an all-volunteer organization that builds respectful and inclusive communities where individuals can learn from each other’s personal experiences. The 16-week course covers a range of topics including gender, communication, power, privilege, and intersectionality. I recently facilitated the course during the spring 2018 session. Previous roles held: leadership team member,  program mentor and trainer, event organizer, participant recruitment and community engagement lead, and communications and technology lead.

Member Growth Director (2018-2019) & Vocalist, SongRise, DC-based, social justice a cappella group (volunteer role)
Washington, DC, June 2012 – Current

As Member Growth Director, I am responsible for fostering a positive and productive environment within the group by organizing annual group retreats, leadership elections, and social activities. I oversee the member growth committee and related working groups. Prior roles held: Co-community Engagement and Gigs Director, Co-leader for new member auditions and on-boarding, Finance Manager, Marketing and Communications Director, and Business and Marketing Manager. In addition, I’ve coordinated several group performances supporting local organizations.

Program Manager, IWF Leadership Foundation
Washington, DC — September 2013 – February 2018

Handled day-to-day operations for the Leadership Foundation Fellows Program and the Women Athletes Business Network Mentoring Program including recruitment, selection and mentor matching of 60+ participants, monitoring and evaluation, development of program materials, global travel arrangements, communications and production of monthly program newsletters. Supervised program intern and conducted program-related research. Managed onsite trainings and conference activities domestically and internationally. Collaborated with Executive Director on strategic fundraising initiatives. Past conference and program travel: Atlanta, Johannesburg, Miami, Boston, Tel Aviv, Chicago, Stockholm, and Houston.

Prior roles with the International Women’s Forum (IWF): Development and Program Coordinator (2016), Development and Marketing Coordinator (2014 – 2015 ), Roster Assistant (2013 – 2014, temporary assignment via Careers in Nonprofits).

Media & Accounts Payable Specialist, GMMB Inc.

Processed over 30,000 payments during the 2012 election cycle for multi-million dollar political and advocacy campaigns. Liason between accounting and media departments. On-camera talent for issue advocacy ad.
